Erd 24ss Bath Shirt

Erd 24ss Bath Shirt runs in a soft, pale blue silk, camp collar and short sleeves giving it a relaxed, resort-shirt shape before the print even comes into view.

The Print

• Full illustrated scene covers the shirt from shoulder to hem, not confined to one panel
• Figures lounging, crouching, and soaking in a communal bathhouse or pool setting
• Loose, sketchy grey linework with pops of blue that blend into the base fabric rather than contrast sharply
• Figures overlap and repeat at different scales, giving the print a layered rather than gridded feel
• Print continues down onto both sleeves and toward the back, leaving no plain panel
• Small details like scattered feathers fill the negative space between larger figures

Construction

• Camp collar with a notched lapel
• Short sleeves ending just above the elbow
• Single patch pocket on the left chest, sitting within the printed area
• Full button-front closure, plain buttons that don’t compete with the print
• Relaxed, boxy cut rather than fitted

Fabric

• Lightweight silk with a slight natural sheen
• No distressing or fading built into this piece, the print carries the whole design

Care

• Dry clean recommended for the silk
• Hand wash cold and hang dry if machine/dry cleaning isn’t an option
• Keep out of direct sun so the printed ink doesn’t fade unevenly
